The fall art show will highlight 31 pieces from the participating
ten artists. Their artistic endeavors include mixed media
sculpture, charcoal, oil paintings, ceramics and photography.
"We strive to maintain a balance between our work life and
our personal creative aspirations," says Leora Baumgarten,
Marketing Director, New Office Temps. "By celebrating the
creative achievements of our temps, we showcase the unique
vision that New Office brings to the staffing industry."
For example, although Paul Lee works at a variety of temping
jobs, his artistic work is currently being shown at four Illinois
artisan shops. Lee works in ceramics creating vases and candle
holders. Currently, Armando Rosario is on assignment at a
well known downtown advertising agency as an administrative
assistant. His still life photo series will be on display
at the show. And, Stephanie Book has worked as a medical secretary,
legal secretary and as a proofreader. When Book is not working,
she is a body artist and photographer. Five of her photographs
will be part of the show.
Also displaying four architectural and landscape photos will be Steven Gillam who came to New Office as a temp in 1992. He uses his skills to highlight often overlooked locations in Chicago as well as the Midwestern landscape. After several assignments and later a full time position, he returned to New Office as their permanent office manager in 1999.
In past years, New Office has given its musically gifted employees a stage to share their talents with clients and staff at a local jazz venue. Now, Baumgarten believes it is time to place its artistic temps on center stage.
Founded in 1985, New Office is a principal player in the Chicago staffing industry. By identifying talented and hard working staff, this small, local independent staffing firm continually get high marks from its clients by identifying "hiring gems."
